The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, received today at the Ministry headquarters a group of children from the Algerian community abroad participating in the second session of the 2026 summer camps, now in its fourth edition. These camps are organized in accordance with the directives of the country's highest authorities, aimed at strengthening their sense of belonging and national identity.

This meeting provided an opportunity to engage with the children and learn about their impressions of this unique experience, which offers them a space for getting to know each other, exchanging ideas, discovering Algeria, and benefiting from purposeful educational, cultural, and recreational programs. These programs contribute to strengthening their connection to their homeland and its civilizational and cultural heritage.

In order to expand the reach of this national initiative to benefit as many children of our community abroad as possible, a third session will be organized from August 16 to 27, 2026.
