Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, participated this morning in Amman, Jordan, in the "Ministerial Meeting to Support Jerusalem and its Holy Sites." The meeting included members of the Arab Ministerial Committee tasked with international action to counter illegal Israeli policies and measures in occupied Jerusalem, as well as representatives from the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Turkey, and Malaysia.

This meeting comes in light of escalating Israeli violations against the city of Jerusalem and the increasing incursions by settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, as part of the occupation's policy aimed at undermining the legal and historical character of Jerusalem and altering its demographic composition.

In his address, the Minister of State warned against the Israeli occupation's continued pursuit of its plans to Judaize Jerusalem and obliterate its Arab, Islamic, and Christian landmarks. He also called for collective political and diplomatic action to thwart these plans targeting Jerusalem, emphasizing the need to activate available mechanisms to protect the rights of the Palestinian people and support the steadfastness of Jerusalemites by strengthening the role of Palestinian national institutions in the city. Mr. Ahmed Attaf reaffirmed Algeria's unwavering historical and principled stance in supporting the brotherly Palestinian people and its readiness to participate in any efforts aimed at protecting Jerusalem from Israeli occupation aggression.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants adopted a statement condemning Israeli practices and violations against Jerusalem and emphasizing the need to intensify initiatives and coordinate efforts to confront Zionist arrogance and support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people by all available means.

It is worth noting that the Minister of State, along with the other heads of delegations participating in the meeting, was received by His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan.
