The Embassy of Algeria in Canberra commemorates the anniversary of "Immigration Day" (October 17, 1961–2026)

Under the theme “From the Depths of Memory to the Horizons of the Future,” the Embassy of Algeria in Canberra today commemorated the 65th anniversary of the 17 October 1961 events, marking the National Day of Migration (17 October 1961–2026).

On this occasion, the national flag was raised, followed by the recitation of Al-Fatiha in tribute to the pure souls of the martyrs. His Excellency Mr Nafeh Meglaoua, Ambassador of Algeria, then delivered a speech to mark the occasion.
