Message from the President of the Republic on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of Victory Day

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, sent a message on the occasion of the (63) anniversary of Victory Day (March 19), which reads as follows:

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and prayers and peace be upon the most honorable of messengers.
Dear citizens,

We celebrate Victory Day on March 19 (19), which the glorious history of Algeria commemorates as a day crowning the struggle of long decades under the banner of the national movement, and the war of liberation that the Algerian people fought for more than seven Years after the inevitability of armed struggle, sparked by a generation of patriots, had become firmly established in their consciousness, they had been honed by a difficult and bitter journey on the path of awakening awareness in the cells of preparation for a coming promised day, when they settled on issuing the shocking statement of November 1st against the aggressive settlers and heralding the inspiring liberation revolution. On November 1, 1954, it was truly one of the greatest and most important revolutions against colonialism, and one of the most sincere and noblest epics of the people's struggle against tyranny and hegemony in the modern era. It will remain a shining example of the Algerian people's adherence to freedom and an expression of the pride and dignity of peoples.

Victory Day, which we celebrate with pride and loyalty, is the fruit of The pure blood that watered our pure land...and the painful and harsh sacrifices that the Algerian people bravely, faithfully and patiently endured...to live in their homeland, free and dignified...and just as the martyrs were boundlessly generous towards the homeland...and possessed ambition and pride in self-denial and love of the homeland...the Algerian women and men who inherited this glory...and preserved it, Today, they are building their country with the same spirit and determination, and with the same principles and values. They do not compromise them or trade at their expense. They are driven by the will to build and develop, and to lay the foundations of the modern state, by devoting an economic policy that attracts investments and wealth, and by the infrastructure that is being built to stimulate development. What is being achieved is… For its youth, achievements and successes through pioneering experiences in the field of investment, within a strategy based on valuing national capabilities and harnessing them for sustainable development and continuous social advancement to ensure a decent life for all citizens, both male and female, in a phase in which the state continues to mobilize energies to secure national interests. The country's supreme leadership...and strengthening the internal front with a national awareness that is a source of pride for Algerian women and men, and with a forward-looking political will, vigilant towards the complexities of the situation in the region and its potential repercussions, and vigilant in the current circumstances to keep pace with the transformations witnessed by international relations in accordance with what Algeria's status, role and weight require. Geostrategic...and in line with the ideals and principles of the great liberation revolution.

With this genuine national orientation, we celebrate today Victory Day in victorious Algeria, with utmost loyalty to the righteous martyrs, with utmost sincerity in the trust of the great Algerian people, and with utmost sincerity in the service of our beloved homeland.

On this occasion, I offer my condolences to the souls of our righteous martyrs. I salute my struggling sisters and brothers, may God prolong their lives. I pray to God Almighty, as we enter the blessed month of Ramadan, to accept your fasting and prayers.

"Long live Algeria!"
Glory and immortality to our righteous martyrs.
