Commemorating the 64th Anniversary of National Immigration Day, October 17 - 1961/2025

On the occasion of commemorating the 64 Anniversary of the demonstrations of October 17, 1961, corresponding to National Immigration Day - 1961/2025, a solemn ceremony was organized on 17 October 2025, at the headquarters of the Algerian Embassy in Canberra. This celebration was marked by the raising of the national flag, standing for a minute of silence and reciting the Fatiha for the souls of the righteous martyrs. His Excellency the Ambassador Nor-Eddine BENFREHA also delivered a speech at the ceremony in which he acknowledged the importance of this historic occasion.
