Measures to Facilitate Access to National Territory for Algerian nationals

In accordance with the high instructions of the President of the Republic, it has been decided to exempt visa requirements, until December 31, 2025, for Algerian nationals holding a foreign travel document who wish to travel to Algeria.
This new exceptional and derogatory measure applies to Algerian nationals holding a foreign passport, which must be:
- Valid for a sufficient period and in accordance with the practices in the countries of departure and/or transit;
- Accompanied by one of the following documents, proving Algerian nationality, even if expired:
- An Algerian biometric national identity card;
- An Algerian biometric passport.
For minor children, aged 15 years and younger, who lack Algerian documents and are traveling with their parents and/or guardians, the same measure requires, as the case may be, the presentation of civil status documents proving the parental relationship (family record book, family certificate, birth certificate) and/or documents proving the guardian's status (Kafala, guardianship judgment).
For individuals whose identity on the foreign passport and Algerian documents is inconsistent, it is recommended to have an individual certificate, to be requested from the Consulate of registration and/or residence, for minor spelling errors and judicial decisions when the differences are substantial (e.g., a completely different first name).
It is worth noting that nationals benefiting from these measures are required to use, when leaving the national territory, the same travel documents presented upon entry.
